Today review is about Taman Mayang. Mayang means “blossom of a palm”.
Taman Mayang means Park with Blossoms of Palms.
Taman Mayang is also known as SS25 and it is located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. It was first launched by IOI Properties in 1985. Today it is a matured and established neighbourhood.
SS25 Taman Mayang is approximately 121 acres big. It is neighbours with other neighbourhoods: Dataran Prima, Kampung Chempaka, SS26 Taman Mayang Jaya, SS24 Taman Megah, Kelana Jaya, and Taman Megah Emas.
SS25 is directly located along the LDP. It provides easy access the Federal, SPRINT, and PLUS-Highway for those who wish to travel to Puchong, Sunway, Subang Jaya, Damansara, Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam.
SS25 is located close to the Kelana Jaya LRT station, Taman Bahagia LRT station, Ara Damansara LRT station, and Lembah Subang LRT station. Kelana Jaya LRT station is very accessible with a walkway bridge across the LDP.
SS25 has a good mixture of residential and commercial properties. The residential sections in SS25 can be split into 3 sections. SS25 is not short of open parks with children playgrounds, short jogging tracks, and tennis courts.
If you’re looking for a house in SS25. SS25 is a Freehold area, hence ownership is forever.
Terrace houses are generally in sizes of:

- 23×70
- 14×50
The houses are generally 2 storey and 23×70 in size.
The 14×50 are compact houses. There are only 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They are good starter homes and for rental investment. Compact houses can be found along Jalan SS25/18 and SS25/17.
There are single storey houses in SS25 and they are along Jalan SS25/39 and Jalan SS25/37.
Now the commercial areas in SS25. There are lots of restaurants, shops, clinics, banks, and office lots in Taman Mayang to support the residents.
Some common landmarks in Taman Mayang are St Ignatius Church, Maybank, Public Bank, Medijaya Clinic.
There are also a lot of popular shopping complexes nearby – One Utama, Paradigm Mall, Evolve Mall, Citta Mall, Atria Shopping Mall, etc. As for education, there’s the SJKC Yuk Chai and SK Taman Megah.
