Without further ado, here are the handpicked top 10 freehold and gated and guarded tamans in Damansara, Selangor. Note that this list is in no particular order or ranking.
1. Aman Suria
Aman Suria is a freehold, gated and guarded taman surrounded by Taman Bukit Mayang Emas, Kampung Chempaka, Ara Damansara, Tropicana, and Bandar Utama. It was completed in 2006.
Aman Suria is a mixed residential community of 285 units and the breakdown is as such:
- 170 2-sty terrace houses
- 62 2.5-sty semi-ds
- 53 2-sty bungalows
In this community there are facilities to service the residents. The facilities are gym, playground, swimming pool, wading pool, jogging track, and BBQ area.
2. The Grove Waterscape Villas
The Grove Waterscape Villas is located in SS23 Taman SEA. Completed in 2011, The Grove (in short) is a freehold, bungalow-only development. Unlike Aman Suria, there are no terrace houses and semi-ds in The Grove. If you’re searching for terrace houses or semi-ds, you can find them in other parts of SS23 Taman SEA and nearby in SS24 Taman Megah and Damansara Jaya (DJ).
Being bungalow-only, not only makes it exclusive but it’s low density also! There are only 35 bungalows in the community.
Then what’s more unique about the bungalows is that they are not only 3-sty bungalows but they are also gateless. So The Grove is a gateless gated and guarded taman.
To recap, the uniqueness of The Grove:

- Low dense
- Gateless property
3. The Effingham
Completed in 2013, the Effingham is in the freehold district of Petaling Jaya: Bandar Utama.
Like The Grove, The Effingham share some similarities to it:
- Bungalow-only community. There only zero-lot bungalows in The Effingham.
- Low density of 98 units
However, The Effingham has a clubhouse with a gym, swimming pool, multipurpose hall, playground, and BBQ pit.
4. Mudora Zone A
Located in Mutiara Damansara, Mudora Zone A is a freehold and gated and guarded community. There are only 2-sty terrace houses in Mudora Zone A.
5. Mudora Zone B
Located in Mutiara Damansara and next to Mudora Zone A, Mudora Zone B is a freehold and gated and guarded community. There are only 2-sty terrace houses in Mudora Zone B.
6. Mutiara Homes (Phase 10)
Completed in 2012, Mutiara Homes or also known as Phase 10, is a freehold, gated and guarded, and mixed residential development. There are a mixture of 79 2-sty superlink terrace houses and 44 semi-ds.
7. Mudora Zone C
Located in Mutiara Damansara also, Mudora Zone C is a freehold, gated and guarded, and mixed residential development. There are a mixture of 2-sty terrace houses, semi-ds, and bungalows.
8. Mutiara Hills
Located in Mutiara Damansara also, Mutiara Hills is a freehold, gated and guarded, and bungalow-only development. Unlike The Grove and The Effingham, the bungalows in Mutiara Hills are individual-style and build bungalows.
9. Ara Idaman
Located in the freehold part of Ara Damansara, Ara Idaman is privileged to be the 1st phase of Ara Damansara, subsequently also known as Phase 1 Ara Damansara.
There are only 2-sty terrace houses in Ara Idaman.
10. Ara Impian
Located in the freehold part of Ara Damansara, Ara Impian is privileged to be the 2nd phase of Ara Damansara, subsequently also known as Phase 2 Ara Damansara.
There are only 2-sty terrace houses in Ara Impian.
