In addition to GO+, Touch n’ Go (TNG) eWallet recently introduced a second investment feature called GOinvest for its users. For those of you familiar with GO+, GOinvest is unlike it.
GOinvest is purely a separate investment feature in the eWallet. It is goal-based investment platform and it offers a higher projected return of up to 2.70% per annum.
Touch n’ Go (TNG) eWallet partnered with Principal Asset Management Berhad. Through Principal, TNG users can invest in Principal Islamic Money Market Fund (Class D), which is also currently the only fund available and it is Shariah-compliant. There are plans to add more funds in the near future – both shariah-compliant and conventional ones.
According to the FAQ on GOinvest, TNG eWallet users:
- have to be a Malaysian age above 18 years old
- have completed the eKYC and account verification process
- can invest with as little as RM10
- can invest via TNG eWallet or FPX online banking
Being a goal-based investment platform, users have to create or select an investment goal. You can select from a pre-set list of financial goals or create your own “General savings” goal.
