If there’s one thing most of us share a common interest in the kitchen is cooking rice.
Sometimes we don’t have a big family or not that many people to cook rice for. What if we are not cooking for so many people? 3 persons? 2 persons? 1 person?
So I got this rice cooker by Tefal. It is not just any other rice cooker. It is a mini rice cooker. Today, we’re going to review it

Below are some features of the rice cooker:
- 0.4 litres capacity,
- a removable inner lid that is easy to clean,
- compact and easy to store,
- 1 button control, making it easy to operate.
What’s inside
Then, let’s check out what’s in the box packaging.
The rice cooker comes with an inner pot, a rice spoon, an electrical cord, and a measuring cup.
Now we’re going to unwrap the inner pot from the wrapping. The inner pot is an easy to clean 1mm 4 layer nonstick inner pot. The labels on the inside of the pot are easy to read. The labels tell you how many litres of water to put.
This rice cooker has a power of 200 watts.
The measuring cup has a max capacity of 1 cup of rice. The measurements are big and easy to read.
The rice cooker is easy to operate. There are only 2 functions: warm or cook.
Cooking Basmati rice
So to test it out, I cooked 3/4 cup of Basmati rice. Basically, the water to rice ratio has to 1:1. That means 1 cup of rice and then 1 cup of water. Since I poured in 3/4 cup of rice, I also poured in 3/4 cup of water.
After I poured in the rice and water, I just turned On the power. The power on the rice cooker automatically started at Warm, so I switched to Cook (the indicator). Then I waited for the (Basmati) rice to cook.
After 15 minutes, the indicator automatically switched from Cook to Warm. I pushed down the button on top of the lid to pop up the cover.
3/4 cup of cooked basmati rice after just 15 minutes.
